Acro Audiology - San Antonio

Dr. Kayla Golliher the founder of Acro Audiology and has been a practicing audiologist for over seven years. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Speech, Language and Hearing, as well as a  Doctor of Audiology from Texas Tech Health Sciences Center. Kayla's externship at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center focused on diagnostic audiology. Specializing in all forms of adult and pediatric hearing treatment, she is certified by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. 

Kayla initiated Acro Audiology during the COVID-19 pandemic, aiming to cultivate a clinical environment dedicated to the the primary goal of helping people hear better. Recognizing that solutions may involve hearing aids or alternative approaches, Kayla envisioned Acro Audiology as an effective and compassionate treatment  space rather than a sales driven environment.

When she’s not in the office, Kayla enjoys spending time with her husband, fishing, and hiking. She especially loves exploring state and national parks, with Big Bend National Park being her favorite. 

Dr. Amber Olivas, Au.D. an audiologist with expertise in hearing aids, implantable devices and pediatric hearing care, provides bilingual services in English and Spanish. She earned her Doctor of Audiology degree from Lamar University in Beaumont, Texas and a Bachelor of Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders from the University of Texas, Austin. Her residency focused on audiological assessments and amplifications across diverse age groups, from neonatal and everything in between, to the geriatric populations at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas.

She served as an audiologist assistant at a private practice such as Acro Audiology before pursuing graduate studies where her passion for audiology blossomed and her strong desire to contribute to her community fueled her commitment to this path.

Dr. Olivas excels in handling complex cases for pediatric and adult patients and especially takes great pride in helping pediatric patients and specializing in implantable devices such as cochlear implants and bone-anchored hearing aids. She is passionate about counseling and educating her patients and their families ensuring they understand everything they need to know about their hearing health care needs. 

In her leisure time, Dr. Olivas enjoys spending time with her boyfriend, family and friends, in addition to traveling. She loves to spend time at the river and lakes in the beautiful Hill Country, as well as watching and playing sports.

Kari is often the first point of contact when reaching out to our office. Handling scheduling and overseeing all hearing aid logistics, she wears many hats for Acro Audiology! When she’s not helping you troubleshoot your hearing aids, Kari enjoys reading and hiking with her family. 

Anna has over 15 years of professional experience working in insurance and medical billing. She is a San Antonio native and the proud mother of two, she brings invaluable expertise to the team of Acro Audiology. When she’s not on hold with Blue Cross Blue Shield, she enjoys playing volleyball and spending time with her kids. 

Holly, a miniature Aussiedoodle and Acro Audiology Mascot, became part of Dr. Golliher's family when adopted in December 2022. Her hobbies include snoozing on patients' laps, barking at James, the UPS guy and occasionally testing the durability of our expensive equipment, all part of her ongoing learning journey.
